Online store, secure payment gateway, electronic shipment updates, send to quickbooks and social media integration was the request and this needed to all be synchronized once a order has been placed.
S eamless integration was the main key to this project. The only thing the client wants to do is to receive a mail notifying them of a new order, and to supply their clients with a tracking number. That is it! a Lot of planning went into this project as we needed to find a way where we push a new order to an online inventory management, get the product the client purchased to the inventory system. a Invoice needs to be created with the clients details and products ( all this is pulled from the site).
When the order is ready, the client just add the tracking number to a shipping app and the client then gets delivery status updates. On the day of delivery, a sms gets sent to the client notifying them that they will receive their order today. At the end of the day we had to set up two main apps, one for inventory and one for shipping.
